Thank you, as always, for reading Japan Myths.

I’ve chosen to keep Japan Myths free of ads.
Rather than funding the site through advertising, I want to build Japan Myths in a different way: through people who find value in this work and choose, of their own accord, to support it financially.

I’m deeply committed to this project.
I draw the manga, research historical sources, study and think about Japanese mythology, create the English version, and continue building the website. I put as much of my time, effort, and skill into this work as I can.

And I want to make a living from this work.
I want to be able to create more freely, without constantly worrying about money.
I want to travel throughout Japan for research, visit shrines and different regions, experience the land and culture with my own eyes, and bring what I learn back into my work.

That’s why I created a FANBOX page.

On FANBOX, I plan to share more of the process behind Japan Myths, including behind-the-scenes stories, manga storyboards, character designs, and more.

There are several support tiers, but the content is basically the same across all of them.

“This is how much this work is worth to me.”

If you decide to support Japan Myths, I’d be happy for you to simply choose the amount that feels right to you, within what is comfortable for you.

And of course, it is completely fine to just enjoy the website for free.

Japan Myths is free because I want it to be.
I want anyone who is interested in Japanese mythology to be able to access it easily.

So please don’t feel that you need to support me financially just because you read the site for free.
Liking my posts on X or pixiv, or recommending this website to someone you know, would make me very happy too.

But if you ever find yourself thinking:

“Japan Myths is worth paying for.”
“I want to see more of this.”
“I want to support this project itself.”

Then I’d be very happy to have you join me on FANBOX.

Your support will help me make a living, travel for research, and continue creating new work.

FANBOX posts are currently available only in Japanese.
If you’re reading from outside Japan, I’d be happy if you use your browser’s translation features to read them.
(My FANBOX profile also includes an introduction in English.)
